I created a line of products based on a sculpture that I had made for Burning Man called The Bed in Your Head.
The central part of the work was a giant cartoon mouth that was upholstered with red metalflake naugahyde. I used that same material to create the “Smile” collection.
I designed all the pieces in the collection, created the patterns, sourced the findings and produced the pieces myself.
I designed two novelty handbags, one large called the Mega Mouth and the other small called the Mini mouth.
I also designed 2 necklaces and a chain belt using the quirky smile as the motif.
In addition, I created an online shop where I did all the product photography, art direction and graphics production for the images. I also created the marketing imagery for social media advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
